Putting lipstick on a pig is a common expression for making superficial or cosmetic changes in order to make something undesirable look more attractive without actually changing its underlying nature. AFFT president Steve Hayes made such a reference regarding two recently introduced tax reform measures.

This week, the FAIRtax Guys look at that Chairman’s Report which details why recent tax reform proposals from Senator Van Hollen of Maryland and Senator Booker of New Jersey are indeed just lipstick on a pig.
