ROD ADKERSON SIGNS THE FAIRTAX PLEDGE

Candidate Rod Adkerson, Left, FAIRtax Volunteer Clay Dalton, Right
If Rob Adkerson emerges from a crowded field to replace retiring Congress Member Barry Loudermilk, we will continue to have a FAIRtax cosponsor from Georgia’s Eleventh Congressional District. Georgia’s primary election is on May 19, 2024, and the runoff, if no candidate wins a majority, is on June 16, 2024.
Rob signed the FAIRtax pledge through the efforts of FAIRtax supporter Clay Dalton. You can view the video of the signing here:

So, how did Clay make this event happen? First, Clay had to figure out how to contact Rob’s campaign. The campaign site had no contact phone number. Clay called Barry Loudermilk’s office for Rob’s telephone number. Loudermilk’s office called back and left a message with Rob’s cell. Clay called, and he and Rob spent about 30 minutes on the phone discussing why Clay thought we needed HR25, the FAIRtax.
Clay had plenty to tell. Clay, a realtor, had his own encounter with the IRS, which would not back down on its demand for a significant sum. Clay had to pay every penny and is now no fan of the IRS. Clay sees this incident as arbitrary and unfair. Others get breaks from the IRS. Because of this interaction, Clay is now a staunch FAIRtax fan. Clay has been the FAIRtax District Director for Georgia’s Eleventh Congressional District ever since.
While on the phone with Rob, Clay asked for a meeting to sign the FAIRtax pledge. The two met at a gazebo on the square in Downtown Canton, Georgia. Clay had the pledge forms in hand, one for Rob to keep and a duplicate for himself. Clay remembered his phone camera and tripod, too, and took the picture above and the video at the link. Here also is a picture of the pledge. In it, Rob committed to 1) eliminate the Federal Income Tax System, 2) eliminate the IRS, and 3) repeal the 16th Amendment to the Constitution.

Rob is running in the Eleventh Congressional District of Georgia in the northwestern portion of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Here is a map of the district:

As you likely know, IRS constraints preclude FAIRtax from endorsing or opposing candidates for public office. FAIRtax does, however, gladly inform people where candidates stand on our tax-reform plan.
We thank Rob Adkerson for signing the pledge and Clay Dalton for getting Rob to sign it. If you know a candidate who wants to sign the FAIRtax pledge, I would love to hear from you.
