MEET AMANDA CRANE

The FAIRtax movement has benefited from gifted leadership, but the aging of its board members has been a challenge. To address this issue, the previous Board of Directors has been actively recruiting the next generation of leaders. The new leaders have become the new Board of Directors, and the immediate past Board of Directors is now the Executive Board.

This Grassroots Corner is the first profile of the members of the new Board, starting with Amanda Crane.

Amanda worked at a Big Four public accounting firm as a director with increasing levels of responsibility from 2009 to 2025. She spent the first 10 years of her career overseeing and executing financial statement audits for both publicly traded and privately held companies, primarily in the energy sector. In 2020, Amanda transferred to the firm’s national office in New Jersey and served in the professional practices group with a focus on SEC reporting. In 2025, Amanda transitioned into industry and is now a Vice President at a publicly traded company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Amanda graduated from Oklahoma State University and earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting.

Amanda is a CPA licensed in Oklahoma and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.

She is also a member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association and a
a board member for Street School, a non-profit focusing on helping children in grades 9-12 graduate while preparing them for college, technical school, or the workforce. She previously served as a board member of Junior Achievement of Tulsa.

Amanda became involved with the FAIRtax movement in 2015, introduced to it by a colleague.  Her passion is to not only eliminate the inefficient and cumbersome IRS but to replace it with a simple, fair, and transparent national sales tax.

Amanda has been married to her husband, Ty, for 17 years and has four young children.

I would love to hear from you if you know someone like Amanda.
