CPAC MOVES TO DALLAS

Did you enjoy CPAC in Washington, D.C. in 2025? CPAC will be closer to you this year if you live in Texas. It will return to the Lone Star State for three days of speeches, fellowship, and patriotism at next year's national conference. CPAC USA will be held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas, March 25-28, 2026. CPAC stands for Conservative Political Action Conference and is the most influential gathering of conservatives in the United States. While most FAIRtax supporters lean conservative, the FAIRtax movement welcomes supporters from all across the political spectrum. Liberals and Democrats who want to see the income tax replaced with the FAIRtax are welcome.
Furthermore, Americans For Fair Taxation and the many state level FAIRtax organizations are focused on a single issue—passing the FAIRtax. We steer well clear of supporting or opposing any other political causes or positions. Still, many of our supporters believe we can have a significant impact by attending this event.
Years ago, we shared a booth at CPAC with another organization, and we once had our own booth in Washington, D.C., funded by Marilyn Rickert. When CPAC was held in Orlando, Florida several years ago, the FAIRtax Guys, Bob Paxton and Bob Scarborough, moved through the exhibition hall, interviewing exhibitors and attendees for their podcast, FAIRtax Power Radio.
We have not had a presence at CPAC recently. The argument against participating was that CPAC is fun for star-gazers, but more helpful to CPAC than the exhibitors. It’s also really expensive to rent a booth and exhibitors must remain in the exhibition area. In Orlando, the exhibition hall was far from the main auditorium where most participants went to hear the speakers.
In Orlando, we tried handing out pocket cards at a choke point through which people passed, but we were told to stop. We later found flyers on seats in the main auditorium, but the flyers’ sponsor had clearly paid for the right to leave them.
Securing a table in the exhibition hall was generally looked upon as not being an economically sound choice because of the high cost and the limited audience. Joining a panel discussion or hosting a breakout session was seen as a better use of time and resources.
Still, proponents see CPAC as an opportunity to provide the FAIRtax brand with much-needed publicity at a reasonable cost. In addition to the political figures, CPAC has a huge media presence. The sight of large numbers of people wearing FAIRtax gear would have to catch the media’s eye.
The price of a standard booth in the CPAC exhibition hall varies based on several factors. It is not in this year's budget, but if a supporter wants to fund a booth, there may still be time. If you bring a laptop, we may need more for an electrical run. A table may be provided, but we will need to provide our own promotional materials.
If you want to just go and have fun, the cost of a general admission ticket is currently $47. We understand this rate may be limited-time, and the regular ticket price is $295.00. There may be discounts for students and youth. Since these prices are subject to change, it's advisable to check the official CPAC website for the most current information: https://www.cpac.org/post/cpac-usa-2026-tickets-on-sale-now.
If you are considering going or organizing a FAIRtax group for CPAC, please let me know. I will gladly put out a call to action.
