MEET JODAN “ALEX” JOHNSON

The FAIRtax movement has benefited from gifted leadership, but the aging of its board members has been a challenge. To address this issue, the previous Board of Directors has been actively recruiting the next generation of leaders. The new leaders have become the new Board of Directors, and the immediate past Board of Directors is now the Executive Board.

This Grassroots Corner continues this series of introductions with Alex Johnson. Alex is an Atlanta-based attorney and founding partner of Bernard & Johnson, LLC, where he leads the firm’s civil practice. His work includes serious motor-vehicle injury cases and civil-rights litigation, representing individuals and businesses harmed by government misconduct and bureaucratic abuse. He has advocated for victims of shootings, wrongful incarceration, false arrests, and retaliation connected to protected speech, and he regularly helps clients navigate insurance disputes and high-stakes civil litigation.

Alex has been featured in Yahoo! News and has appeared on Fox News Channel’s The Ingraham Angle. He has also been quoted by The Associated Press on Georgia political and civic issues.

In addition to his legal practice, Alex serves as President of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA) and as Chairman of the Georgia Republican Assembly’s Board and Executive Committee (after serving as GRA President from 2014–2023). Alex successfully chartered County Assemblies in ten counties and other areas with more on the way. He grew the organization from six members to over one thousand.

Born and raised in Georgia, Alex earned a B.A. in Politics from Oglethorpe University and a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law. He had a Presidential Scholarship to go there and was on the Dean’s List for three semesters. Alex is also a past student government President.

Alex has also been listed by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys among its “Top 10 Personal Injury Attorneys Under 40 in Georgia.” As a member of the FAIRtax Board of Directors, he brings a litigation-grounded perspective on government accountability and a practical understanding of how policy affects working families and small businesses."

Alex brings a lengthy list of other achievements, too numerous to repeat here, that will strengthen our board.

I would love to hear from you if you know someone like Alex Johnson.
