Local Content Wanted
Do your peers, kids, or even grand-kids remark “E-Mail is soooo yesterday”? For sure, E-Mail no longer elicits the response it used to. There is something you can do.
Through the efforts of Randy Fischer & Adam Yomtov we now have an up-to-date list of State FAIRtax websites and social media pages. Click Here: Located on our Homepage, hover your mouse over “Get Involved”, and choose “State Websites Online-Social-Media”.
At my count, there are 38 FAIRtax websites & social media pages for 26 States. There is also a listing of about 130 Yahoo! Groups dedicated to The FAIRtax, including a “Fairtax Europe”. Most of these Yahoo! Groups, however, are inactive. So if you haven't done so already, Please transition over to our social media pages.
In addition, there are a set of 10 websites and Facebook & Twitter pages managed at the national level by Marketing & Communications Director - Randy Fischer and his dedicated Team.
Many of the State Facebook pages are fed by Randy Fischer with general content, but these State Facebook pages are an opportunity for you to hurdle the “soooo yesterday” barrier.
Nearly everyone who is 30 and older is on Facebook (we tackle SnapChat & Instagram another day). Imagine how much more interest you would get if you post current content from your State on your State’s Facebook page! We are actively seeking Volunteers to take over these pages and Training will be provided.
In New Jersey we have a Facebook page followed by 204 people but have not been taking advantage of it. We also have a monthly telephone conference sporadically attended. So putting the 2 together, here is our 1st announcement:
If you like this idea, Click Here For The Online-Social-Media Page List . If one isn't listed for your State then please search Facebook. If after searching you don't locate one, then Email Randy Fischer By Clicking Here or Email Adam Yomtov By Clicking Here about setting up a page and setting you up to run it.
If your State already has a page, contact Randy or Adam to find out who is the Lead Contact running the page and what you need to do to post announcements or other content you deem to be relevant. There are opportunities in New England, the western states and Mississippi.
“Group Text” is another digital tool you can use to communicate with people who have mobile phones. Group Text is an App (at this moment only avialable for iPhones) enabling the Individual to send messages to groups without entering the recipients individually one-by-one. And it integrates with your iPhone's address book so you don't have to enter them again. I have been using Group Text and it's been a HUGE help for reminding Directors and Delegates of our Board conference calls and increasing their participation. Click Here To See What It Looks Like and then you can use your iPhone to download it.
Yes indeed, there are ways to get past yesterday’s Technology.

When others see your activity, they are inspired, and the process snowballs. When the process snowballs, Representatives, Senators and, yes, even the President start to take notice and listen to Us.
