Grassroots Corner - November 22, 2019

“FAIRtax Volunteers had a booth setup, funded and managed by Manny Salinas at the Orange Park, FL (near Jacksonville) 37th annual Fall Festival held the weekend of October 19-20, 2019.

Despite rain closing the booth for 1/2 of Saturday, Manny and Volunteers Red Martin, Kathleen Perera and Paul Livingston had a record success of 97 (19 Saturday and 78 Sunday) people stopping to sign in to show their support for The FAIRtax.


“A 10-year history indicates an expected daily signup of only 27 to 30.  Why was there a big increase on this Sunday?

First, it was a beautiful fall day and the people were out.

But what brought them to the booth?  Two things.

They started to use the [target] persons’ clothing and hats to get their interest and then call out;

Wearing a Harley T-shirt would say “Harley riders like The FAIRtax”; for red hat wearers, “Trump knows about The FAIRtax"; for stars and stripes and military clothing, “FAIRtax is about Freedom & Liberty”; for any sports team, “ (enter team name) fans love The FAIRtax”; for the Nike logo, “Just do it”.

This is fun to do and it turns heads.

“Second, along with the calling out, have in your hand one FAIRtax palm card and, below the logo, the business card with the Prebate schedule.  When making eye contact, we extend our arms in a gesture of offering and inviting to the booth.

A special thanks to Manny Salinas for his time, energy and resources dedicated to The FAIRtax cause.  Harvesting names, as Manny and his crew did, and emailing them to Adam Yomtov, gives the registrants important weekly exposure to The FAIRtax message.

Manny and his crew are an inspiration for other FAIRtax-ers all over the country to get out there and sell the brand.
