ANOTHER DOOR OPENS
You’ve heard the adage, “When one door closes, another door opens.” That’s exactly what happened to the FAIRtax movement when a source of funding evaporated abruptly and unexpectedly. Larry Ward, President of Political Media and a friend of the FAIRtax who has helped us over the years, came through with a sweetheart deal that made up for the funding shortfall. Larry also will give us an improved membership management platform.
We need a Customer Relationship Management Platform (“CRM”) to communicate with - and manage - our FAIRtax support base. While we were pleased with the folks who are independent of, and helped us with, our old CRM, we were not happy with the performance of the old CRM itself.
Larry, meanwhile, had been building a product used by him internally that now handles about 50-60 million e-mails per day, including e-mails for a major client. Larry’s product has come a really long way since he first began talking with us about it. Our database managers were impressed.

So what’s in this for you? Over time, you as a leader should be able to manage and communicate with your supporters directly. E-mails will go out more quickly and reliably with fewer ending up in Spam folders. FAIRtax will not only stay in business, FAIRtax will grow through increased fundraising. And management of donors will improve.
Transitions have their challenges, and we have protocols to work out. For now, if you find a supporter and want him or her to get the Chairman’s Report and Grassroots Corner, send me the name, address, zip, +4, phone number (preferably cell), e-mail, and any other information you find useful.
If you as a State or District leader want to e-mail your supporters or need a pull of your data, for now please send me the e-mail or request, and I’ll put in a ticket to Political Media. As we learn to do more on our own, we will train you in self-help.

CALL FOR PICTURES AND WRITEUPS
We need more of you to send in pictures and news. If you have anything to share, please send your material to me at jim.bennett@fairtax.org, or text me at (908) 578-4975, or fax me at (908) 598-2888. When others see your activity, they are inspired, and the process snowballs. When the process snowballs, Congress Members and Senators and, yes, even the President start to listen.
