Editorโs note: Claude Mertzenich from Decorah, Iowa reached out to us several months ago but became busy with personal matters. Recently Claude โcaught The FAIRtax bugโ again and is now a FAIRtax firefly lighting The FAIRtax gasoline in the critical state of Iowa. The first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucuses will take place on 2/3/2020. Many Presidential candidates will be trouping through giving people like Claude a chance to raise our profile.
Claude writes:
I first learned about The FAIRtax about 11 years ago. I got busy with other things and The FAIRtax got dropped from my radar, but now I am back and doing my part here in northeast Iowa to pass The FAIRtax. When our new Rep. Abby Finkenauer (IA-01) was visiting the Decorah Chamber of Commerce recently, I visited with her and provided her with information about The FAIRtax. I am working to get an appointment to meet with her to present her with a copy of "The FAIRtax Book" and to continue to ask her to co-sponsor H.R.25.
I've been posting a lot on my social media page about The FAIRtax and I've given copies of "The FAIRtax Book" to several people. I've sent a letter to my State Rep. Michael Bergan (IA House District 55] and I will soon follow up with a telephone call. I intend to keep pushing The FAIRtax until it passes and becomes the law of the land and The Constitution is corrected through the repeal of the 16th amendment.
In addition to "The FAIRtax Book" and "FAIRtax: The Truth: Answering the Critics," I have found the following websites to be critical for the purpose of bringing myself up to speed on The FAIRtax so I can speak with others intelligently. These include:
FAIRtax Power Radio on iHeart
FAIRtax Guys
Florida FAIRtax - This website is a treasure trove of information!
I intend to continue to educate myself on The FAIRtax, and I will talk with others about The FAIRtax as much as possible. One of my friends recently noticed the many, many postings about The FAIRtax I have on my Facebook page. She decided to look into it and she fell in love with The FAIRtax to the point where she told 2 of her co-workers about it and they also liked it. By the way my friend is a Democrat.
To any open minded person, The FAIRtax is clearly a nonpartisan proposal. I suggested to my friend to indicate her support for The FAIRtax by calling Rep. Finkenauer. I gave my friend a FAIRtax business card and a palm card (both can be sourced by Clicking Here to visit The FAIRtax Logo Store). My friend was particularly excited about the prebate.
Now I know it's taking more time to pass The FAIRtax than any of us would like but it's such a good idea it *WILL* pass and I hope to do what I can to make it happen. I'm also hoping to meet with as many of the presidential candidates as possible to inform them about The FAIRtax. GOD willing, The FAIRtax will pass soon.
