Here’s A Big Thank You to New Jersey
When I was in Munich, Germany in 1986, I had dinner with some German bankers and one explained that he and his friends in government were confident that the Berlin Wall was going to come down and Germany would be reunited. However, he told me that it would not be in his lifetime but hopefully during his children’s lifetime.
Of course three years later we watched the Berlin Wall be torn down and saw East and West Germany become Germany. The seemingly impenetrable wall and the tyranny it represented came apart.
New Jersey just sent a message to citizens of some “blue” states who have despaired of being able to get any of their Members of Congress to endorse the FAIRtax. Some of these “blue” state citizens believe that even the Republican Members of their “blue” state are not going to sign on as Cosponsors.
HR 25’s 70th and newest House of Representatives cosponsor is Scott Garrett from the 5th Congressional district in the very “blue” state of New Jersey. Congressman Garrett is an intelligent man but his becoming a cosponsor is directly attributable to our New Jersey FAIRtaxers refusing to believe that it was “hopeless.” They just kept sending material to his office and meeting with his staff and with him to answer the Congressman’s questions.
The New Jersey “miracle” reminds me of the story of the bumblebee. Scientists have proven that it is aerodynamically impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Its body is too heavy, and its wings are too light. However, the bumblebee just flies.
Thanks New Jersey FAIRtaxers. You have shown all of us that being there and continuing to communicate the truth about the FAIRtax is going to get a result because the FAIRtax works for all of our citizens. It is the only reform where all people of all ages and all income levels benefit.
June Trip to D.C.
Peggy has written a detailed report about our activities in D.C. this past week which I am sure that you will enjoy. It is exciting that even more “liberal” Members are starting to look favorably at consumption-based tax reform. Senator Cardin’s “consumption tax” reform has opened the eyes of many of these Members and it is great for us. If you want to have a consumption tax we have the best one. This is a major change!

FAIRtax Power Radio
FAIRtax Power Radio is the “on demand” show that plays when YOU want to listen. Using your computer or smart phone, you can “watch” FAIRtax Power Radio by going to “The FAIRtax Guys” channel on YouTube. There are over a dozen episodes plus an introduction by The FAIRtax Guys. For audio only, another source for FTPR is SoundCloud.com; again search for “The FAIRtax Guys” to find the channel on www.soundcloud.com. Both YouTube and SoundCloud have free apps for smart phones so you can listen whenever and wherever you wish. Each episode is a half hour long. Episode #1 talks about the need for REAL tax reform and continues to build the case with each episode in an informative yet entertaining way. The goal is to offer a discussion of the most thoroughly researched tax reform proposal, the FAIRtax, and make it seem like a family discussion at the kitchen table. Listen to the program and then tell your friends and relatives about the show.
Thank You For Opening The FAIRtax Chronicles, Our Sponsored Mailings
We plan to do several of these mailings each month. If you take a minute to open the sponsored emails and click through to the website, you are making an in kind contribution to AFFT. It is not required to actually make a purchase, but your minute of time will ensure that AFFT is paid ever larger amounts from people paying for us to send their offers to our supporters.
Again, we are making every effort to ensure that we work with only reputable companies. If you feel that any FAIRtax-sponsored email is objectionable, please email us at info@fairtax.org and tell us why. You can also opt to not receive these sponsored email messages but still receive FAIRtax emails.
Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
