Larry North

Member, Board of Advisors

Larry North has a track record of fighting for fairness in our tax system.  Until 2018, Larry was an advisor and managing director at Ryan, LLC, one of the largest tax practices in the United States.  Ryan’s multi-disciplinary team of more than 3,000 professionals serves more than 18,000 clients in more than 60 countries and, in 2021, produced $2.5 billion in tax savings.

Larry has been a leading expert in the health, fitness, nutrition, and weight loss sector for more than three decades.  He has operated leading-edge health clubs, authored three best-selling books including one, Get Fit, that was on a best seller list for 157 weeks, hosted radio shows, including Better You on CBS Radio for more than 30 years, and a television show, and he created a globally successful weight-loss program, “The Great North American Slimdown,” that reached more than 1.2 million consumers and generated $150 million in revenue.

Larry is now an operating partner at Satori Capital, a Texas- based multi-strategy investment firm founded on the principles of conscious capitalism.  Larry considers his relationship with Satori a continuation of his lifelong focus on impacting and enriching the lives of others.  He advises team members regarding health and wellness initiatives through the firm’s “Optimal Living” initiative and, as a SEC-registered broker-dealer, introduces potential investment opportunities and potential investors.

Larry is a member of the board of directors of the S.M. Wright Foundation, which provides support and stability to underprivileged children and less fortunate families through hunger relief, economic empowerment, and assistance in the areas of education, health, and social services.

Larry lives in Dallas with his wife, Brenda, their dog, Bliss, and their cat, Buda.

Larry is honored to be on the AFFT advisory board because he believes that the FAIRtax will help all Americans, promote production and savings, make our country more globally protective and free us from reporting to the government every year and from the IRS.
