FAIRTAX PLEDGE SIGNER WATERS TO FACE CICILLINE IN NOVEMBER

The last of the state party primaries is over. Our FAIRtax pledge signer, Allen Waters, has become the Republican nominee to face David Cicilline in the general election in November for the First Congressional District of Rhode Island. Congratulations to Allen! We do not know the position of Cicilline on the FAIRtax.

In other late primary news, Vikram Mansharamani, who hosted a Zoom conference inviting Americans living abroad but who did not sign the FAIRtax pledge (as he should have), was not successful in his bid to become New Hampshire’s next U.S. Senator. That honor went to Don Bolduc, who will face incumbent Senator Maggie Hassan. If our New Hampshire folks are reading this article, get Bolduc and Hassan on board with the FAIRtax – as well as Vikram Mansharamani for the next time he runs.

Other FAIRtax pledge signers, Steven Elliott of Michigan and Tina Forte of New York won their party’s nominations, as the September 12, 2022, Grassroots Corner reported. Elliott will face Rashida Tlaib in November for the 12th Congressional seat of Michigan. Forte will face Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for the 14th Congressional seat of New York. We have not asked Tlaib or Ocasio-Cortez for their positions on the FAIRtax.

We wish our FAIRtax pledge signers Elliott, Forte, and Waters the best of luck in their Congressional races. Whatever happens, it will be time to gear up for the FAIRtax for 2023 and 2024. We think there will be some pleasant surprises.

I would love to hear from you about candidates who take an unusual interest and who might become FAIRtax supporters.
