WHEN IT ALL COMES TOGETHER

We recently found a way to merge the work of three volunteers working on different projects to move the FAIRtax forward. First, Arkansas State Leader David Morelli has been developing a training program and materials for FAIRtax speakers. We wrote about David in a recent Grassroots Corner. David understands the importance of a nationwide effort by local speakers to reach out to constituents and increase awareness of the FAIRtax. Education is our priority. Our website has identified speakers in various geographic locations.
Next, Tennessee State Leader Dr. Tony Urbanek is contacting his state’s Congressional delegation to get them to sponsor the FAIRtax. We wrote about Tony several months ago. When enough Congress Members cosponsor the FAIRtax, Tony plans to lean on his state legislature to pass a resolution supporting the measure. The problem is: Tony is busy. This septuagenarian runs a handful of businesses, making time precious. To address this problem, Tony has hired a college student, Julian Thacker, to make the countless calls to Congress Members’ offices that Tony’s project requires.
Finally, we have Rich Germaine, about whom we also wrote several months ago. Professionally, Rich concentrates on audiobooks, but he introduced us to an artificial intelligence tool and a podcast subscription service. The podcast service has a search engine that permits us to rummage through thousands of podcasts to determine their following size and which ones focus on FAIRtax-related topics.
How do we combine these three efforts? First, Tony Urbanek will share Julian's time and costs with FAIRtax. Our President, Steve Hayes, has also invested funds in our educational arm, the National Tax Research Committee, for Julian and the subscription service.
David Morelli will then work with Julian to screen speakers and suggest podcast scripts for them. When the panel of speakers is ready, Julian will match podcast opportunities with available speakers and schedule a steady stream of FAIRtax programming throughout the country.
Podcasts have become the preferred medium of the new generation and are slowly displacing traditional network media. FAIRtax must take full advantage of this tool to get its message out. We thank David, Tony, Steve, and Rich for making this effort happen.
If you are interested in becoming a speaker for the FAIRtax and would like to be on a podcast, contact David Morelli at davidamorelli@msn.com.
I would love to hear your ideas on getting the FAIRtax into the public forum.
