CONGRATULATIONS ALABAMA PLEDGE SIGNERS
The FAIRtax pledge is a document that volunteers ask U.S. Senatorial and Congressional candidates to sign. The candidate who signs the pledge promises to actively, visibly, and fully support the FAIRtax. When elected, the candidate promises to immediately cosponsor and vote for the Fair Tax Act.
Chuck was instrumental in obtaining eight pledge signers in Alabama. Since Alabama has only seven Congressional districts, at least two must have been from the same district.
The successful candidates for their party’s nomination are:
Dale Strong from Alabama’s Fifth Congressional District. Strong is running for the seat vacated by Congressman Mo Brooks, who ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate this year. Strong, a Republican, will face Kathy Warner-Stanton in the general election. There will also be a Libertarian candidate, P.J. Greer.
Incumbent Gary Palmer won the Republican nomination in Alabama’s Sixth Congressional District to face Andria Chieffo, a Libertarian, in November. There is no Democratic nominee for that district.
Incumbent Barry Moore won the Republican nomination for Alabama’s Second Congressional District. He will face Democrat Phyllis Harvey-Hall and Libertarian Jonathan Realz.
Chuck handicaps the chances of all three as excellent. It will be good to start off the 118th Congress that will sit from 2023 to 2024 with at least three cosponsors in our pocket.
We do not know where the other candidates who are opposing these pledge signers stand on the FAIRtax.
I would love to hear about your efforts with your elected representative, state or federal.
