A new FAIRtax book; it's about time!
After the Boortz and Linder books, The Fair Tax Book, Saying Goodbye to the Income Tax and the IRS, FairTax: The Truth: Answering the Critics, and Ken Hoagland’s book, The FairTax Solution: Financial Justice for All Americans, another FAIRtax book is long overdue. Our John Gaver came forward with a chartbuster, The Tax Deception. This book is not just about FAIRtax; it analyzes another tax proposal – and its variant - and enables readers to come to the right conclusion.
John says that when he first heard about the FAIRtax, he looked for ways to tear it apart. The harder he tried, the more he understood that he couldn’t. Regardless of the yardstick he used to evaluate one tax system over another, the FAIRtax proved itself over and over again as the best way to fund the federal government.
The book is remarkable for its research. Hardly a sentence goes by without ending in a footnote referring to a source. John is a self-taught economist who has read over a thousand research and academic papers.
John uses simple terms but does justice to the complex subject matter. He also manages to sprinkle in tidbits of humor as he goes. The book is 288 pages long.
The analysis considers three tax systems: the Flat Tax as written in HR1040, an idealized Flat Tax including, where appropriate, a Value-Added Tax, and the FAIRtax. The analysis applies twenty-two criteria to evaluate each tax and gives each tax system a score under each criterion. I won’t tell you what the scores are—you have to get the book and read it. However, I’ll give you a hint: One tax clearly comes out on top!
You can order the book on Amazon or Barnes and Noble, and the book is available on Kindle. The paperback version costs $14.95 plus tax and delivers, and the Kindle version costs $9.95. Order extra copies for your Congress Member and others.
If you like what you read, please write a review. On Amazon you can go to https://www.amazon.com/Tax-Deception-John-Gaver/product-reviews/B0CWYZWQQW/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_show_all_btm?ie=UTF8&reviewerType=all_reviews. Even a word or two carries weight.
I would love to see your review.
