Today is our Nation’s birthday, and we hope you are enjoying the time with family and friends. If your town is having an event today, bring your family and friends there. Public events attract elected officials and politicians. If your Congress Member happens to be at the event, let him or her know that you support the FAIRtax, and he or she should, too. If you can, get a signed FAIRtax pledge from your politician.
 

FAIRtax State Director, Paul Livingston, reminds us that on November 8, 2022, we will have a chance to exercise the most sacred right that our forebearers fought for on the Fourth of July, 1776 – the right to vote. This election, Paul says, will decide the members of the 118th Congress with the selection of all 435 members of the House and 1/3rd of the members in the Senate.  
 

Before November there will have been over 100 primary elections to select the candidates for each of the political parties.  Perhaps by now many of those elections will have taken place, but there are still some to go. This election process, says Paul, will have included well over 1,850 total candidates as potential supporters for the FAIRtax Act.  Our challenge is to receive signed candidate pledges  from all candidates, starting with the 30 co-sponsors of the FAIRtax up for re-election, then all other incumbents, strong primary election candidates and winning candidates after the primaries.  You can get the candidate pledge form at https://www.fairtax.org/the-fairtax-candidate-pledge-2022.

Paul tells us to start in our congressional districts, then other districts in our states and then neighboring states.
