Report from Orange Park, Florida
Editor’s Note: We thank Florida State Director Paul Livingston for sending in this article. If you have an event going on, please send me a writeup. Paul writes:
On a beautiful weekend last Fall, the city of Orange Park, FL (a southwestern suburb of Jacksonville) had its 41st annual Fall Festival. One of the over two hundred exhibitors was a FAIRtax booth handing out the FAIRtax palm cards (highlighting problems and bad practices about the federal income/payroll tax on the front and the FAIRtax on the back as the solution), answering questions, and taking petition signatures.
The volunteers handed out over 600 cards, collected 76 new names, and $36 in the donation jar.
As with every interaction with the public, the voters like the FAIRtax as they get to know and understand it. The question of "Do you think the FAIRtax will ever pass?" is best answered with another question of "Do you want the FAIRtax to pass?"
See attached for a booth photo. Jim Stehr, Kathleen Perera, and Manny Salinas are Pictured from left to right.

We need more of you to send in pictures and news. If you have something to share, please send your material to me, jim.bennett@fairtax.org, (908) 578-4975, or fax (908) 598-2888. When others see your activity, they are inspired, and the process snowballs. When the process snowballs, Congress Members, Senators, and even the President start to listen.
