BETTER WAYS TO SELL THE FAIRTAX
Today’s Grassroots Corner comes from Ted Davis of Tacoma, Washington. Ted read a recent Grassroots Corner and saw the request for better ways to sell the FAIRtax. Ted writes:
-----------
Describe FAIRtax as an increase in Minimum Wage. How about describing the benefit of the FAIRtax as "equivalent" to increasing the minimum wage to _____? The minimum wage is a hot topic for some people, and phrasing the FAIRtax in terms of their language/frame of reference might grab them.
I don't know the math or economic reasoning to come up with the actual numbers, but it seems that the following are examples of FAIRtax features that could be translated into an increase in a person's wage under the current tax system:
Prebate,
Take home 100%.
No more inheritance tax. Have we tried to reach out to business groups containing family businesses who face the inheritance hurdles of the current tax system?
-----------
We thank Ted for his ideas. I would love to hear from you if you have tried any of them or wish to comment.

Ted Davis has a Bachelor’s Degree from Dartmouth and a Master’s Degree from the University of Arizona. Ted has been thirty years in the software industry. Ted has been married for over 33 years and recently became a grandfather.
Ted says that the FAIRtax engages both his head and his heart. His head engaged the FairTax in the early 90s. In the software world, we would call the FAIRtax an “elegant” solution: simple, powerful, and nails the problem. His heart wants to make a stronger country for his and his wife’s grandson. His heart believes the FAIRtax is the best way to support President Trump, drain the swamp, and fight the Deep State. That’s why Ted is determined to do something to advance the FairTax every day. It’s his personal way to join the battle.
Ted cites FAIRtax Power Radio and the weekly chairman’s messages as great personal encouragers.
