GET READY: February 24 (Thursday) to February 27 (Sunday), 2022; Call To Action
We need you in Florida in ten days. On November 29, 2021 we sent you advance notice of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (“CPAC”) in Orlando, Florida, from Thursday, February 24, 2022 to Sunday, February 27, 2022. Now we’re almost there.
At CPAC, you will meet everybody who’s anybody in the center-right of American politics. But you do not need to be a conservative to come and help the FAIRtax at CPAC. FAIRtax is politically neutral and does not support or oppose political candidates, parties, or philosophies.
You, as a FAIRtax supporter, can make yourself visible at CPAC to a large contingent of media and political people. While meeting VIP’s there, you can help spread the FAIRtax “Take Back Control” message to people who need to hear it and who have the power to move the idea forward.
We decided not have a booth in the exhibition/vendor area. Buying a booth is expensive, and the vendor area is located well away from most of the action. Instead, we will mix and mingle with people near the main auditorium and along Broadcast Row. We will hand out printed material, answer questions and generally try to make the FAIRtax as visible as possible to everyone attending—especially the politicians and the media. We will be tapping Mike Simmons for handouts, materials and gear. Mike runs the FAIRtax Store.
Last year, that strategy worked well. We caught Florida Congressman Byron Donalds, who later became a cosponsor of the FAIRtax. The FAIRtax Guys also got good interviews with Kat Cammack, who represents Florida's Third District, and Allen Waters who is running in Rhode Island’s First District. Cammack became a cosponsor of the FAIRtax. We introduced Rubin Young to the FAIRtax. Young is running in Florida-23. At the time, he had never heard of the FAIRtax, but became a pledge signer just two months later after attending a candidate workshop in Las Vegas.
So, the opportunity is definitely there. We just need greater numbers than we had last year. Here’s how you can help:

1. Register early by going to https://cpac.conservative.org. Scroll down to “General Admission,” and click “Register Now.” The registration fee is $295 for general admission and $50 for students. The cost will have to be on you. We do not have the budget to reimburse registrations or other expenses.
Registration gets you access to general conference events, including General Sessions, Breakout Sessions, Activism Training on Thursday, CPAC Centrals, and a Welcome Reception on Thursday. Some other events require additional tickets, which Christine and I are not planning to buy.
2. When you finish registering, let our Florida FAIRtax Guy, Bob Paxton, know. Bob is coordinating FAIRtax activity at CPAC. You can reach him by Facebook Messenger, or by email at thefairtaxguys@gmail.com. Christine and I are going from New Jersey.
When you complete these steps, CPAC will send you materials to complete your registration for the conference.
