GREENE COMES OUT IN SUPPORT OF FAIRTAX
Our ever-vigilant FAIRtax State Director in Alabama, Chuck Bailey, found a surprise when he monitored the Dan Bongino Show in August 11, 2022. Chuck reports that guest host Lisa Boothe had Marjorie Taylor Greene on the show. Greene began to skewer the “87,000 IRS Agent expansion” from the Inflation Reduction Act. As she continued, she made the statement that the Fed shouldn’t have as many agents as it currently has, that the amount being collected is too high, AND THAT IT ALL SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH THE FAIRtax!
That day, the following Tweet appeared on Greene’s feed:

So, it looks as if Greene means it.
Marjorie Taylor Greene represents the Fourteenth Congressional District of Georgia which was created following the 2010 census, when Georgia gained a seat. The district is in the northwest corner of the state. Georgia FAIRtax State Director Jim Duffie notes that he spoke with Greene when she first ran three years ago and seeks to meet with her again. Ideally Jim would like to have FAIRtax sponsor Buddy Carter at the meeting with cosponsors Andrew Clyde, GA-09, and Barry Loudermilk, GA-11. If former U.S. Senator and FAIRtax supporter David Perdue could join, that would be a plus.
Greene is known as a controversial firebrand and an ardent Trump supporter. FAIRtax is nonpartisan and single-issue, but it welcomes support from any source as long as that source is lawful and ethical. Under those standards, Greene is welcome as a FAIRtax supporter.
Jim Duffie notes that Greene’s father owned and ran Taylor Construction Company, of which Marjorie now is CEO. Taylor Construction was a major sponsor of national radio talk-show host, Neal Boortz for years. Boortz advocated the FAIRtax on his show several times an hour.
I would love to hear from you about candidates you know who might become FAIRtax supporters.
