MEET CANDIDATE AND PLEDGE SIGNER STEVEN ELLIOTT
There’s another Congressional Candidate who has signed the FAIRtax pledge, and his primary is today. Steven Elliott, running for Congress in the 12th Congressional District of Michigan, became the latest candidate to sign the FAIRtax Pledge.
We found out about this pledge through an alert from Brian Graham of Americana Advisors in Jacksonville. Brian consults for several political campaigns and has succeeded in collecting signatures on FAIRtax pledge forms.
Steven Elliott is running on a platform of less crime, more jobs, secure border, better education, quality healthcare, strong defense, and – of course – the FAIRtax.
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Steven’s father was a Canadian construction worker, and he mother an American secretary. Steven says he started working at age 12 and never stopped. He mowed lawns, bagged groceries, washed dishes, fried chicken, cooked at a bowling alley, and caddied at a local golf club.
Steven joined the Marines out of high school and had a stint at our Southern Border. Following his discharge from the Marines and a few jobs, Steven took out a loan and started a chain of successful businesses.
Steven faces opposition in the Republican primary from James Hooper and Hassan Nehme. We do not yet know Hooper’s and Nehme’s positions on the FAIRtax. If successful, Steven will go up against Democrat Rashida Tlaib in the general election on November 8, 2022. Tlaib must first defeat Mykale “Kelly” Garrett, Shanelle Jackson, and Janice Winfrey in her primary. There are two independent candidates who will be on the ballot as well.
FAIRtax does not endorse political candidates, but it does educate supporters and the public where candidates stand on the FAIRtax.
I would love to hear from you, no matter how you choose to get involved with the FAIRtax.
