MEET CANDIDATE WILLIE MONTAGUE
Willie Montague is no stranger to signing the FAIRtax Candidate Pledge. He signed one last time around when he ran for Congress, and now he’s done it again.
Willie knew about the FAIRtax when he lived in Oklahoma where he was active in the Tea Party. Willie believes the current tax system is unfair as overreaching politicians seeking to add to their power base often use it to create an undue burden on citizens. We have to get back to fair government and make better use of the resources we already have. Willie says he also sees too many people losing their homes due to taxes.
Willie is again running for Congress in the 2022 election cycle, this time as a Republican. Like all candidates, he is often asked to define his position on a variety of issues. In response to a survey question, he noted that free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

On the fiscal front, Willie favors cutting unnecessary pork and spending programs. He also favors auditing the Social Security Trust Fund to ensure the continued solvency of this vital program. He believes in scrutinizing discretionary-spending and entitlement programs as well.
On the campaign trail, Willie heard about Project 2224 from an organizer who reached out to him. This project was a symposium designed to help new candidates learn the ropes of running a campaign for Federal office. Although Willie was hardly a new candidate, he attended the event, showing a genuine commitment because the venue was Las Vegas.
At the symposium, FAIRtax Guy Bob Paxton gave an excellent presentation on the FAIRtax, but Willie did not need convincing. He already knew what was in the bill and liked the idea of getting rid of the income tax and the IRS. After the presentation, Willie was one of four candidates to approach Bob, Ron Maiellaro and Laura McCue wanting to sign the FAIRtax Candidate Pledge.
He notes that today’s young adults will inherit the massive debt that today politicians are running up, and believes that the FAIRtax will go a long way towards improving that situation.
Originally from Oklahoma, Willie attended Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He received an honorary doctorate from Rehoboth International Bible College in Raleigh, North Carolina, and he currently attends Strayer University in Orlando, Florida.
Willie moved to Orlando in 2014 to pursue an opportunity in the ministry. He is the founder and President of House of Timothy, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Orlando for young men seeking a second chance at life in a community environment. His twelve-month regeneration program is designed to educate, equip, and empower young men in their spiritual, emotional, mental, social and physical growth. His mentorship program, Element 26, focuses on younger ages and also offers an entrepreneurship hub for those age, 18-30. (Young Entrepreneurs Hub).
Willie authored “The Fruits of Leadership,” which focuses on developing leaders from all walks of life. He is the Overseer of New Creation Assembly of Churches, the Lead Pastor of Gravity Church, in Orlando, Florida, and the President of Insignia Christian Academy, a private school for 9th -12th grade boys scheduled to open in the fall of 2021. Willie is the Chancellor of Victory School of Ministry, an online Bible college. He volunteers for Mothers to the Rescue.
Willie is also the Chairman of Republican Liberty Caucus in Orange County, Florida, and the Regional Director for Republican Liberty Caucus covering eight counties in Florida.
Willie is running in Florida’s Tenth Congressional District for the seat that is being vacated by Val Demmings, who is running for the U.S. Senate.
