MEET CANDIDATE AND PLEDGE SIGNER TINA FORTE
Congressional Candidate Tina Forte, running for Congress in the 14th Congressional District of New York, became a surprise candidate to sign the FAIRtax Pledge. Running as a Republican in a heavily Democratic district currently represented by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Tina is running on an agenda of helping small business owners, supporting law enforcement, and parents who wanted their schools to reopen during the pandemic – and the FAIRtax.
Tina grew up on the Bronx side of the Throgs Neck Bridge – the bridge that links the Bronx to Queens. She is a small business owner, wife, mother, and grandmother.

The New York Congressional primary is Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Tina will have one Republican opponent, Desi Cuellar. We do not yet know Mr. Cuellar’s position on the FAIRtax.
If Tina is successful on August 23, she will run against Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on November 8, 2022, as well as Libertarian candidate Jonathan Howe. We do not yet know their positions on the FAIRtax.
FAIRtax does not endorse candidates for office. But we do inform our supporters about candidates who sign the FAIRtax pledge.
I would love to hear from you about your efforts to reach out to candidates in your Congressional district.
