April Fool's Day Should Be April 15th
April Fool’s Day is a day where people are expected to play practical jokes on each other. Some are as simple as putting a “kick me” sticker on the back of someone’s pants. Others are a bit more elaborate.
No one seems to agree on the origin of this custom, but it is observed all over the world.
Here are some jokes/pranks associated with April Fool’s Day:
- Today’s the day to propose. If they say yes, great. If they say no, just say, “April Fools’ Day!”
- I am with the government and I am here to help you. April Fools’ Day.
- What do you call a hammer bought on April 1st: An April tool.
- What do you say when it’s raining chickens and ducks on April Fool’s Day? FOWL spring weather.
- Why do eggs like April Fool’s Day? They love practical yolks.
- On April Fool’s Day, all of the sinks and toilets were stolen from a police station. The spokesman said, “We have nothing to go on.”
- Who needs a day for the fools? I am around them all year.
- Why was everyone so tired on April 1st? Because they just finished a 31 day March.
- April Fool’s Day is like a huge open mic night---millions of people go out of their way to demonstrate how unfunny they are.
- Excuse me, sir. They obviously named April Fool’s Day in your honor.
- You should know that no one understood it was an April Fool’s joke—because no one believes you have a sense of humor.
- The BBC fooled their viewers in 2009 by producing a video that showed penguins flying north to South American rainforests in order to escape the harsh Antarctic winter. (Penguins can't fly.)
- In 2011, Ikea fooled its furniture fans by announcing it was manufacturing a new high chair for dogs.
- Every year since 1986, New York City has issued press releases for the April Fools' Day Parade. It doesn't exist.
- Kodak claimed to have added the ability to remove our exes from our photos. The feature is aptly titled, "Relationshifffft".
- Sir Richard Branson, the famous entrepreneur, claimed that he has officially bought Pluto for an undisclosed sum and reinstated it as a planet.
CONCLUSION
Mark Twain said, The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.
As we approach April 15th, we all are reminded that we are the April Fools but not just on April 1st.
When there is a much better alternative, only April Fools would allow:
- The government to confiscate a big chunk of our pay before we receive it.
- Having the cost of everything we buy increased by 10% to 15% because of the income/payroll tax system.
- Imports to be subsidized while American products and jobs are penalized.
- A tax system that is rife with evasion to the tune of at least $1 trillion a year.
- A tax system that requires us to spend time, effort and money filling out forms that tell the government every detail of our personal finances.
- Giving the IRS access to all of our personal financial transactions with the likelihood that our data will not be kept confidential—all in the name of fighting evasion.
- Special interests and friends of Congress to get tax breaks that are paid for by the rest of us.
- A group of tax professionals to make huge incomes because they have developed an ability to somewhat understand the incomprehensible Internal Revenue Code and sell their skills to special interests and the wealthy.
- The maintenance of a law, the Internal Revenue Code, which no one can understand, that generates billions of dollars for lobbyists and harms each and every one of us.
This is why April Fool’s Day should not be April 1st but April 15th. Anyone that allows the income/payroll tax to exist when it could easily be changed is really being treated as a fool.
The income/payroll tax system is broken and no longer working—we can’t repair it but we can replace it with the FAIRTAX!

WHAT CAN EACH OF US DO?
We can write letters and make calls to our elected representatives and attend Zoom town hall meetings demanding that if they really want to allow Americans to “TAKE BACK CONTROL”, the first step is to eliminate the income/payroll tax system and enact the FAIRTAX!
If you want to prevent the IRS from being further weaponized to punish those of us who may object to the D.C. opinions and dictates of what is good for us, then help us PASS THE FAIRTAX!
The IRS will be gone and we will pay our taxes when we make purchases. WE and not D.C. Elites will decide how much federal tax we pay!

Then contact your Members of Congress and the President and demand that Congress pass -the FAIRtax—the only fair tax
Remember, if we don't continue to tell the truth and demand a change, then this quote from George Orwell's 1984 may foretell our children's future:
“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.”
Is it hopeless? When confronted with a seemingly impossible problem, remember the statement attributed to the author George Bernard Shaw who wrote, You see things; and you say “Why?” But I dream things that never were; and I say “Why not?”
Isn’t it time for us to ask, “Why not?”
