Whenever I see an article about corporations not paying their "fair share" of taxes or that the U.S. has the highest corporate tax rate in the world, I always wonder why it is never pointed out that it is the consumers, not corporations, that pay all taxes. Stop and think. Where do corporations get the money to pay their taxes, accountants, tax attorneys and lobbyists if not from their customers? Economists have estimated that about 22 percent of the price of everything we consumers purchase is to cover their expenses related to taxes. Corporations are concerned about taxes, not because they pay them but because passing along higher taxes makes them less competitive in the marketplace.
