Lawmakers in the West Virginia Legislature will soon be called into a special session to take up a proposal to cut the state's personal income tax which has been put forward by Gov. Jim Justice.
Justice, who met with legislative leaders Friday to discuss his plan, said he will issue a call for a special session at the end of July in which lawmakers will be asked to consider a bill to cut the state's income tax by 10%.
The plan was announced shortly after Justice and other state officials detailed the state's year-end revenue collection numbers.
