FairTax Chronicles Makes a Comeback
In 2012, AFFT launched the FairTax Chronicles, a fundraising initiative, which provided third party sponsors with an opportunity to pay AFFT a sponsorship fee in exchange for communicating with you about their products, services and area of focus. And because these communications were sent from AFFT’s database, none of your personal information was ever shared with the sponsoring entities.
FairTax Chronicles provided much needed funding for the FairTax® campaign. Recently we were again approached by interested sponsors and have made the decision to continue with the FairTax Chronicles program. If you do not want to receive Chronicle messages, you may opt out without affecting your receipt of other FairTax communications. We hope you won’t though, because supporting the Chronicles program is an easy way to help fund the FairTax tax campaign. Look for more information in the coming weeks.
The Purpose of the FairTax® Campaign
If you are like me, every day you receive numerous requests from worthy (and not so worthy) organizations requesting your help and financial support. All too often, many of these requests are from organizations that purport to do good work, but whose real purpose is to serve as a permanent employment center. And, believe it or not, there are people in these organizations who have spent their career soliciting donations to fund a few organizational activities while supporting permanent paid staff, wasted real estate and expensive retirement plans.
When you speak to friends, co-workers and family and ask them to become a member of Americans For Fair Taxation® (AFFT) you can be assured that AFFT has one singular purpose, to pass the FairTax; supporting AFFT and the FairTax campaign is not signing up to forever fund a think-tank, policy institute or institutional advocacy organization. But until the FairTax is the law of the land, our success is dependent upon our having the financial resources to support the incredible efforts of our grassroots volunteers. And remember, 50% of every paid AFFT membership goes to the state FairTax organization where the member resides.
$10.40 Today Means No 1040 Tomorrow
Recently we announced AFFT’s 1040 membership plan and many of you have joined the 1040 club at FairTax.org. Let me be the first to say thank you! Your monthly donation of $10.40 is providing much needed support for our volunteer FairTax efforts around the country, our district targeting campaign and our social media campaign that is drawing in a whole new generation of FairTax supporters. The energy we are experiencing is both exciting and challenging; challenging because we must keep the momentum going! So if you haven’t done so already, please go to the FairTax.org 1040 member page and join the greatest tax replacement plan since the Founding Fathers’ writing of the Constitution.
Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
