Sponsored Mailings to Our List And Passing the FAIRtax
We are now contracting with organizations who are paying us for the right to send email offerings to our supporters. Most of you are probably receiving these type of email offers from other groups because it has become an important way for groups to help fund their activities.
When you get these FAIRtax sponsored emails, please consider making a contribution to AFFT by opening them and, if the offer is interesting, clicking on the link to the sender’s offer. The amount of money these companies will pay AFFT is directly determined by the size of our email list, the number of our supporters who open the emails and the number who click through to their sites.
Therefore, if you take a minute to open the sponsored emails and click through to the website, you are making a contribution to AFFT. It is not required to actually make a purchase but your minute of time will ensure that AFFT is paid ever larger amounts from people paying for the right to send emails to our supporters.
Finally, we are making every effort to ensure that we work with only reputable companies. If you feel that any FAIRtax sponsored email is objectionable please email us at info@fairtax.org and tell us why. You can also opt to not receive these sponsored email messages but still receive FAIRtax emails.
Reminder: Participate In Our Next Visit to DC
Peggy and I are scheduling our next trip to Washington, D.C. from April 28 to April 30. If you want us to see your Member of Congress, please contact Peggy at peggy.green-ernst@fairtax.org.
We are also making a list of Members with whom we want to meet, and Peggy will be contacting our grassroots people in those districts for assistance in arranging the meetings.
If you are interested in coming to D.C. for a meeting with the Member in your district, please let Peggy know. We would love to have you, but we do recognize it is much more economical for you to see your Member in his or her local office.
And we know that Members of Congress respond best when their constituents continue to pressure them. So please, don’t let up - continue to contact your elected representatives! Ask them to become activist cosponsors and meet with AFFT representatives when we visit the nation’s Capitol.
When you get a response, please contact peggy.green-ernst@fairtax.org and provide her with the contact information for the staff member with whom you have been communicating. She would also appreciate a brief explanation of what you requested and how they responded. Peggy will then follow up and try to arrange appointments for one of our upcoming trips to Washington.
Thank you for staying FairTax strong!
