Tennesseans can save money this weekend as the back-to-school tax holiday kicks off.
From July 28-30, the traditional "tax free" weekend takes place across the state which include breaks on clothing, school supplies, and computers.
Exemptions include clothing which costs less than $100 per item, most school supplies under $100, and personal computers valued at $1,500 or less. Laptops under that price also qualify.
The tax break will suspend state and local sales tax, giving Tennesseans the opportunity to save up to 9.75% on back-to-school items.
