CALL TO ACTION: THE KEITH HANSON SHOW

Sometimes, radio talk-shows are an excellent way to spread the word about the FAIRtax, and we found a host who needs reminding about us. Keith Hanson has a show, “The Daily Review with Keith Hanson”.  It airs out of Nashua, New Hampshire, weekdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on radio station WSMN, 1590 AM, 95.3 FM.  The show also airs on the internet via Spreaker.

Keith calls himself “The voice of common-sense conservatism in New Hampshire and Vermont.”   He is the host of The Keith Hanson Show (a Hagmann Report affiliate). He is also an active entrepreneur and business owner, a professional trainer in various subjects and disciplines, a certified life coach, an avid public speaker, and a talented chef.

On August 4, 2020, AFFT Director, Jade Walle, a Big Four Public Accounting Firm partner, was a guest on Keith’s show. Perhaps the interview’s highlight was Jade's description of how easy it is to evade the income tax. Jade pointed to a "fraud triangle," which permits evaders to rationalize and justify evading the tax.

Now would be a good time for you, as grassroots supporters, to send Keith a short note. You might use this text as a guide:

“Dear Keith,

“I very much enjoyed your interview with Jade Walle quite some time ago (Tuesday, August 4, 2020).  The discussion on the merits of the FAIRtax was both informative and engaging.  I really like the idea of a national consumption tax that would do away with the income tax and the IRS's tyranny that comes with it.

“Jade mentioned rationalization and justification in the "fraud triangle".  His description of how easy it is to evade the income tax, relative to a sales tax, struck a chord.  $800 billion a year is a lot to lose to tax cheats.  Also, I like the ease, convenience, and simplicity of the FAIRtax ‘prebate’ you discussed with him.

“The amount of personal financial information you have to report on a tax return is staggering.  If you don’t take the standard deduction, you have to reveal literally all the intimate details of your personal finances to the government.  The Founding Fathers would be horrified to see just how intrusive the income tax system has become.  Of course, they’d be astounded that an income tax even exists in the first place.  Direct taxation was strictly prohibited in the original Constitution.

“The FAIRtax is anonymous, non-intrusive and straightforward. The ‘prebate’ makes the FAIRtax progressive.  Spending up to the poverty level is not taxed.  This feature will make the FAIRtax attractive to the American people.

“Anyway, I just wanted to say great job on your show. I loved it, and I would encourage you to bring Jade and the FAIRtax back more often!

“Regards,

Remember that, according to our Marketing Team Leader, Randy Fischer, an audience's job is to make the host look good.  Positive feedback like this makes Keith look good.  One word of caution, though.  Please put these thoughts into your own words.  Letters like this are effective only if they are sincere and genuine.  The effect is greatly diminished if it’s apparent that people are just sending in multiple copies of the same form.

Positive feedback may encourage Keith to book Jade and other FAIRtax advocates more often.  And of course, the more exposure we can get for the FAIRtax, the closer we come to getting it passed.

You can reach Keith at:

Do you know any other radio talk-show hosts who might be willing to have FAIRtax advocates as guests? If you do, I would love to hear from you.

Yours In the FAIRtax Movement!
