In their third and final presidential debate, Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton clashed over taxes and other economic issues. Trump promised to cut taxes, saying it will result in economic growth. Clinton said she’ll raise taxes on the wealthiest Americans to pay for programs she says will create growth. On the subject of Social Security and other entitlements, Clinton talked about raising the ceiling on people’s income that’s subject to Security taxes. Trump characterized Obamacare as a disaster and said he would repeal it. Other pocketbook issues covered at the debate were college, the national debt, and the nation’s economic growth rate. Clinton repeated her plans for making college more affordable, while Trump expressed skepticism about the financial viability of such an effort.
